Hello and Welcome!
If you’re reading this then you’re here to get to know a little bit more about me. First of all, my name is Faye Rogers. Secondly, I am hard working, reliable, friendly, professional, dedicated and an incredibly organised human being. But, looking away from these generic terms, this page is to show you a little bit more about the person behind the computer screen.
Aside from working as an online freelance PR, I also run a successful book blog, A Daydreamer’s Thoughts, which I have been running for seven years now. It all started out as a little side project before it rapidly became a huge and unmovable part of my entire life. I certainly would not be here now if it wasn’t for that blog. Over the seven years I have learnt irreplaceable skills, gained a vast amount of knowledge about the publishing industry, and seen how publicity works. I have made contacts with other bloggers, publishers, authors and agents, which are all incredibly helpful.
With all these skills learnt from the blog, I ended up as an online publicist for a trade publisher in 2013 where I helped several authors launch their books into the world. From this job I learnt many more valuable skills and lessons that I am certain will help me in my role as an online freelance PR. All of my authors spoke very highly of my work, especially during the times of high stress. Since then I have worked on blog tours for Scholastic UK, Canelo and countless individual authors. I also now work as a publicist for Authoright.
Away from the computer, I am a voracious reader. I don’t read particularly quickly but I do read a lot of the time. I have read books from almost every single genre and there is nothing I love more than dipping in and out of different genres and finding books that really wow me. I read both paperbacks and digital books and love doing both but definitely prefer paperbacks – there’s just something great about the feel of a book!
I love recommending books to other people and have a passion for getting others to read. I love conversations with other people about books, and am incredibly lucky to be in a position to recommend amazing books to people. This is why being a freelance online PR is the perfect job for me as it allows me to help authors and to use my skills, knowledge, and passion to get great books into the hands of lots of different people.
