Five Favourite Things About the Jessica Cole: Model Spy Series
I have a serious love for all of the gadgets used in this series! They’re all really useful, really funky and sound like the perfect things to carry around. I love that they’re all disgused as everyday things, or in Jessica’s case, lots of different things she’d need as a model! For a list of some of the gadgets, check out this post!
The Model Shoots
Personally I’ve never been that interested in being a model but after reading Geek Girl, I got a little fascinated by them. The model shoots in the Jessica Cole: Model Spy series are all really interesting. My favourite one is probably the one from the very first book where Jessica is doing an underwater shoot. It sounds terrifying and fascinating all at the same time!
The Fiestiness of Jessica
I’m not even sure that’s a real word but basically I love how kick-ass the heroine of this books are! She’s always ending up in danger but she somehow always manages to think on her feet and work out how to get out of the situation in the best possible way. I completely love this about her and think it makes her a brilliant protagonist to read about!
I don’t really have any desire to travel myself, but I love reading about all of the different places that Jessica goes for her shoots and spy work. She’s always ending up in this beautiful places that are so easy to imagine and actually make me want to travel myself!
The Spies and Spy Work
Now this is something that I’ve always loved watching and reading about. The double agents, the hiding identities, working in secret and doing everything they can to stop the bad guys. I love the danger aspect of it and the ultimate end of saving someone or the world. (Miss Congeniality anyone?) This series really brings that world to life in the best way and I just love all of it, including the other spies!
Models, spies and lipstick gadgets in this fast-paced teen series. Jessica Cole has been recruited to Westwood, MI6’s secret division of supermodel spies. Her first official mission seems simple at first, until it turns into the biggest cyber-attack ever known, threatening the security of the whole country. Then it emerges there is a traitor in the midst at MI6 – and suddenly Jessica herself is being accused. With no one believing her innocence, and the country on the verge of chaos, Jessica has no choice but to take matters of national security into her own hands and catch the culprit – fresh from the catwalk.
